Our Reauthorization Agenda: Increasing the Impact of Federal Bus Transit Capital Programs

With allies on the Congressional Bus Caucus and Capitol Hill, the TBC Reauthorization Agenda will seek legislative fixes to key issues, including:

Bus Funding Levels and Revenue Sources: Including proposed increases to the 5339 Capital Grants program, Gas Tax Reform, and other funding level issues

Grants Application and Administration: Pursuing grants application process improvements, administrative streamlining, and NEPA review requirements

Fleet and Facilities Management: Ensuring federal reporting and accountability measures expand transit access and accelerate operators’ success

The Bus Manufacturing Crisis: Increasing the American manufacturing capacity for next- generation, purpose-built transit buses and other vehicles

Low- & No-Emissions Transitions: Assisting transit leaders’ efforts to move the American bus fleet to a sustainable, clean, and low-carbon future
